(From August 5th)
OK so last weekend I mosied on down to HYPER JAPAN at Earls court with my boyfriend Andy and our friends Will, Jenny & Emily. It would’ve been the best day ever if it wasn’t for the fact that when we went outside for Will & Andy to have a cigarette THEY WOULDN’T LET US BACK IN Seriously! They were over capacity and had a massive queue of ticket holders waiting to come in for the first time, a massive queue for re-entry AND another massive queue where they were SELLING MORE TICKETS EVEN THOUGH THE PEOPLE WHO HAD ALREADY BOUGHT THEM COULDN’T GET IN. There ain’t nothing kawaii about that, Mr Hyper-Japan-Organiser. You’re just a massive greedy.
When we got back in we had the BEST time though! There were some really cute little stalls AND I found out that the girls on one of them are going to open a shop in my home town of Portsmouth! YAY! Their website is http://www.tofucute.com. So kawaii!
I also had an excuse (not that I need one) to ask my friend Naomi to make me a Snorlax dress for the occassion. She is a super seamstress and crafted my outfit without even taking my measurements. HER EYE IS THAT KEEN. It didn’t need any adjustment and fitted like a dream, which kind of makes me wonder how much time she’s spent checking out my physique. I also wore a wig from http://www.gothiclolitawigs.com and circle lenses from www.candylens.com. And my ace flatform Converse that were reduced by £20 on the Schuh webpage a week after I bought them. THANKS SCHUH. I’m not linking your webpage out of spite.
My favourite part by a mile was the miniature Animal Crossing village. I LOVE ANIMAL CROSSING. I was so happy I packed my DS as I filled my WHOLE Happy Homes Showcase with the super cute houses of other Animal Crossers ^_^ We got our photos taken in the Animal Crossing photo booth & had a sit on the fake grass at the end of a hard days shopping to chat to some of Emily’s babe cosplayer friends who were babes and cosplayers.
I also got REALLY close to kawaii poplette Yun-Chi (although I missed the chance to meet her :’( REAL TEAR) who was possibly the cutest girl I’ve ever seen in the flesh. I WANT HER FACE*. I stood staring at her for hours as the TV crew interviewed her & I’m sure she was slightly terrified by me. At lunch time we had some really nice miso ramen and accidently sat down next to famous YouTube kawaii-ling Venus Angelic, who is just as painfully super cute in real life. She was really friendly and so kawaii it nearly rendered me unable to eat my dinner, but her mum seemed a bit moody. She was complaining a lot about other girls on YouTube stealing Venus’ style and the woes of travelling around and how badly organised Hyper Japan is. Maybe she was having a bad day ^_^. I can’t really disagree with her about the bad organisation, although I wasn’t quite as p-d off as she seemed to be.
*-not in a weird way.
I THINK that pretty much covers most of the things we did in the day. Also, Andy is watching Super 8 and I want to watch it too so I’m kinda in a hurry to sign off. I’m going to leave you with a picture of alllllllllll the cute stuff I bought. I need to take more money with me next time, thats for sure. See you soon!
