REMENT-AL... MY MELODY OUCHI CAFE!

I have a fascination with anything tiny. So much so that I even have a miniature boyfriend! I jest, I jest- being short is only one of Andy's many wonderful traits. He is also handsome, clever, romantic, funny, kind, patient, interesting.... SIGH....
 

SORRY, went totally mushy there for a mo. As I was saying- I LOVE ANYTHING MINIATURE and I have ever since I was small. I always loved dolls houses and Sylvanian Families the most when I was a child and I still have a big collection of tiny toys to this day. I have a bookshelf full of Sylvanians (still), mini Lalaloopsy dolls, Blythes (of course) and lots of REMENT SETS!!

Rement are collectible miniature sets from Japan. They are sold in blind boxes and feature all sorts of cute little collectibles. Most of them are themed around delicious food and popular cute characters, and today I'm going to finally open my 

 MY MELODY OUCHI CAFE COMPLETE SET!!

I have had this rement sat on my shelf waiting to be open for months! I absolutely love love LOVE opening toys and I need to wait until I have enough time to savour it so I can open the boxes reaaalllly slowly and lay out the little figures and play with them loads! I have been so busy over the last few months that I just haven't had any time to dedicate to unboxing these little treats. HOWEVER- today Andy went to his friends and I was all alone with nothing to do for a few hours. EEEEKKK!!!

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 21st- PYJAMA PARTY!!

One of the best things about my friends is they are all as childish as me. The other best thing about them is they'll cook for me and drive me places. All these favourite things came into play when Jenny came to collect Emily & I and drove us to her gorgous flat in Port Solent for a sleep over! AND YOU GUYS ARE INVITED TOO! LETS GOOOOO!

We started off with a gorgous vegan dinner of noodles and vegetables.Then Jenny surprised me with a dessert of dairy free ice cream & maple brownies she had made FROM SCRATCH. Honestly she is such a wonderful friend that it almost makes me feel bad for constantly picking on her. Almost.

After that we moved on to a pretty serious game of Dream Phone. Now, for those of you who aren't familiar with it, Dream Phone is a game from the early 90's thats sort of like Cluedo but with dates instead of murder and also a telephone & dreamy boys with terrible hair. The aim of the game is to work out who has a crush on you. Here's the rules-

1- You must go through all the cards and pick which guys you WOULD sleep with (this isn't in the OFFICIAL rules, but it is definitely a rule, OK?)

2- You take turns in calling various guys who each give you a clue to who has got a crush on you. You cross off names on your list as you eliminate them.

3- At any time you can take a guess as to who your crush is. If it turns out to be one of the ones you picked at the beginning CONGRATULATIONS! IT'S A DOUBLE WIN.

Emily totally won. AND it was one of her 'would' guys.

Congratulations, Emily! If he wasn't 2 dimensional and 

probably 40 years old by now you'd SO be getting laid.

The  game got a little out of control when Totoro got involved.

I honestly cannot take him anywhere. Such a bad attitude.

Jenny made us some beeeautiful mojitos (she makes the best mojitos ever) and the evening pretty much proceeded in the same way it would if any adult women were having a sophisticated soiree with a couple of well educated chums in her luxury apartment.

YUP. This is what being an adult is all about...

MONDAY 19th AUGUST- A PICNIC

HELLO KAWAII-LINGS!

I have been having a really super time on my holiday. ^_^ SO super that I haven't even had time to blog. I'm planning to not do ANYTHING the next few days which means I can stay up late this evening & fill you in on my fun days out. You're so lucky!

Spencer L Tufts joined us on an adventure.

SO on Monday Andy and I had planned to go to Brighton for the day with our friends Jenny & Maria, but lack of money meant a last minute re-think and we drove to Queen Elizabeth Country Park for a picnic instead. I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to prepare a vegan meal at the last minute, but it was easier than I imagined. AND super tasty! I made a quick pasta with a vegan store-bought tomato sauce, olives, tomato, onion and parsley. I also had french bread with red chilli hummus, a fruit salad made with grape, pomegranate seeds, kiwi & blueberry AND Jenny made some special vegan scones for me. What a boff.

We decided to take a stroll through the woodland afterwards & picked a 'moderate' trail to follow as Jenny doesn't ever walk anywhere and always wears heels. OH MY LORD IT WAS NOT MODERATE. I walk EVERYWHERE and I was so out of breath. Luckily I got to pretend I was only stopping to wait for Jenny who was constantly lagging behind because of her inappropriate footwear. There were so many hills! It was really beautiful though- I haven't been for a walk in the woods for a long time.

That evening Andy and I went to meet our work collegues for a drink as one of our friends is leaving soon. We intended to just go and hang out for a bit, but people kept buying us drinks because we so rarely go out and I ended up a wee bit tipsy. AT LEAST I DIDN'T HAVE WORK THE NEXT DAY.

MEWTANT

It was so nice to spend some time with my work friends outside of work- it hardly ever happens because I have so much to do. We had such a fun time! I really wanted to go out dancing but Andy wasn't really up for it. It's a shame because I was ready to throw down some of my best moves. Like this.

Eileen turned up to say hello- I never got on with her at work but

after she left we became friends. She's an absolute sweetheart.

also blame him for my hangover as we only went

out becuase he's leaving.

The next day I was a little sickly. My belly has been a bit cross the last few days anyway as it's just getting accustomed to the diet changes & I don't think a load of sugary cocktails really helped matters. Andy and I decided to go over to Gosport to visit his mum as it was such a nice day, and we might get a sneaky dinner in while we were there. We were in luck- she took us out for a meal and it was YUMMY. I ordered a bean chilli wrap with no cheese & no sour cream. Andy's mum forgot about the cheese though and when it came out it was SMOTHERED! Yikes! It looked so good as well- I really REALLY love cheese. Andy's mum said she'd order again but I didn't want to be difficult so I just scraped it off... although maybe not as thoroughly as possible so I could sneak a little bit of guilt free cheese in. NAUGHTY. It was my first slip up in the three weeks since I started though, and I'm maintaining that it wasn't my fault so therefore its totally cool. 

When we got back to her house I went upstairs to lie down for half an hour and ended up sleeping until Andy woke me up three hours later!! I'm such a terrible daughter-in-law. I basically just ate and slept. That's some serious goldilocks shit right there! She wasn't cross though- I like to think it's becausee I'm so adorable, but it's probably more to do with her loving Andy so much that she just accepts his creepy girlfriend. I LOVE HER.

AND WHEN I GOT HOME I SLEPT SOME MORE.

I love time off work.
